The Collective

The Way operates as a movement of missionaries and a collective of churches. As part of The Collective, each leader benefits from training, coaching and relationships.

Most of the leaders in The Collective are leading within home-based churches, while some are leading within “legacy”/”traditional-model” churches. And while for most of us our setting is New Zealand, there are some within The Collective who live and serve the Lord in other countries.

Here’s an outline of what The Collective experiences:

  • Training

    • In the heartsets, mindsets and skill sets of a disciple-maker

    • In fruitful practices

    • In planting and leading missional churches

  • Ongoing Coaching

    • In small clusters of leaders

    • As a full Collective

  • Relationships

    • Between leaders

    • Between churches

The Way Training

There are two training options:

Option 1: is for people wanting to lead in home-based churches.

Individuals and couples engage in three weekends of training with others who desire to lead churches which gather in homes.

Option 2 is for “legacy”/”traditional-model” churches wanting to become mission-focused.

Church leaderships work with The Way to become a church on mission.

The Way Coaching

In essence, coaching takes the missional mindsets, heartsets and skill sets from the training, and helps to make them habits. Every leader engages in a coaching cluster with a few other leaders, and in the monthly Collective Coaching Call (on zoom). Leaders both give and receive equipping and encouragement in both the clusters, the monthly call and the annual hui.
